l'intelligence émotionnelle au travail

Management of emotions, a source of progress and performance

It has now been well over 12 years since I bought this book, Emotional Intelligence at Work by Daniel GOLEMAN. I take a lot of free time to deepen and update my technical skills, having an ease of learning in this area which is my job today, however even only the technique would be a mistake.

Indeed, my knowledge of myself, my feelings, emotions are all necessary subjects for me to perfect in order to move forward in my everyday life as well as at work.

Having more and more influence in technological choices, I must not forget that those to whom I delegate, to whom I supervise or help at the technical level are also filled with emotion and live.

The stress of milestones, of the discourse that some clients may have who sometimes go beyond the limits of the professional framework, have a direct impact on well-being and therefore counter-performing.

Also, I reconnect with paper and thoughtful reading, analyze my feelings, emotions, accept them. I reach a level where I can no longer abandon this learning both for my own existence and for that of others.

When I see those around me or my own existence losing years of life linked to work that is too results-oriented, without taking into consideration the emotional well-being of people, I tell myself that we should also be very careful about our way of working. . Because when I had a neighbor, CEO of a large company who died at just over 50 years old from a job that was too stressful, then I tell myself that we should focus more on good human and emotional management. people who cause many more years of life to be lost and who remain counterproductive at all levels, both corporate, societal and family.

Let us make our being, our relationships, the factor in the search for success; and performance, just a result and not an objective.
